Kate Fierro’s Love Starved

The premise of Love Starved sounds amazing. A man hires an escort and wants to be shown how love feels. I cannot wait to read this book! Kate stops by for a fun interview that was a blast to do. Afterwards, read all about the book, along with an excerpt that will leave you wanting more. At the very bottom, enter for a chance to win a $25 Interlude Press gift card.

Amanda C. Stone: Good morning Kate! I’m so glad you could join me today.
Kate Fierro: Good morning! Thank you for having me here.
ACS: If you could have any crazy talent (rolling your tongue, saying the alphabet backwards, fun things) what would you want your talent to be? Or if you already have a crazy talent, what is it?
KF: Hmm… I’d want to be one of those people who can do splits without even warming up.
ACS: Oh man that would be fun. But also, a little ouch too. I had a friend that could do that and I always cringed when I watched her do this. There is magically 25 hours in a day. What would you do with the extra hour?
KF: I would call it an obligatory relaxation hour. I love what I do, my plot bunnies never sleep, and as a result I spend most of my time writing, plotting, brainstorming, taking notes or otherwise juggling the words. I can’t remember the last time I watched a movie or an episode of any of my favorite TV shows – it always feels like there’s too much to do and too little time. Maybe if I had a bonus hour in a day, I could justify using it to relax.
ACS: Agreed! If there was an extra hour you could relax and not feel so guilty about it. If you could travel anywhere all expenses paid where would you go? Name one thing you’d see or do there.
KF: Would a road trip across all of the US and Canada qualify for the “all expenses paid” option? Because if it did, I’d take that!
ACS: Sure would! It also sounds like an amazing trip.
KF: I would definitely want to stop in New York for a week or two and see all the Broadway and off-Broadway shows that I’ve dreamed of seeing for years.
ACS: I might just have to stash myself in you luggage because I love seeing shows on and off-off Broadway. If you could snap your fingers and have an invention to do anything you want, what would you want it to do?
KF: I would definitely want a teleport! An ability to travel anywhere instantly, without ticket costs and time spent on the planes, would be the best invention ever. I would finally get to see all the places I can’t afford to travel to and visit my friends who are scattered all over the world.
ACS: I would love to be able to teleport. Would make moving so much easier. Just put al of your stuff on teleport pads and it’s where you want it to go! Last question! You are on a deserted island and can have only one book with you. What book would it be?
KF: I’d say my Kindle filled with hundreds of books, but that would be cheating, wouldn’t it?
ACS: Yup, cheating.
KF: And the deserted island probably doesn’t have electricity anyway.
ACS: Nope, no electricity so no digital editions.
KF: Hmm… is there a Game of Thrones edition that combines all the books in one? That might be good. I tend to get all the characters confused whenever I take a break between the parts, and maybe on a deserted island I would have the time to finally read it in one big swoop.
ACS: If there isn’t already all of the books in one then there will be just for your magical deserted island adventure. Thank you for stopping by. It was such fun having you!
KF: Thank you for the chat, it was super enjoyable!

Blurb:
Micah Geller considers himself lucky: at 27, he has more money than he needs, a job he loves, a debut book coming out, and a brilliant career in information security before him. What he doesn’t have is a partner to share it with—a fact that’s never bothered him much.

But the romantic in him isn’t entirely dead. When a moment of weakness finds him with a contact to a high-class escort specializing in fulfilling fantasies, Micah asks for only one thing.

Show me what it’s like to feel loved.

Excerpt:
Angel’s shoulders were broad and strong; his hands kept a warm, steady pressure on Micah’s back, holding him so close that he could feel the movement of Angel’s chest with every breath he took. They stayed near the edge of the impromptu dance floor, swaying with the music. Micah felt safely surrounded, contained—in the familiar song, in the arms that felt as if they were made to hold him, in the magic of this evening. He turned his head, just to glance at Angel’s face, and couldn’t turn away, mesmerized by the look in his eyes. They held the world within—the world of affection, of caring. Of desire. It made something stir in Micah’s belly, a long-banished want.

Angel’s eyes flickered down to Micah’s mouth, and then back up. He bit his plump lower lip.

Around them, people were dancing, music was enveloping them in its sweet enchantment, and night air cooled Micah’s cheeks. Inside, he had suddenly only one desire. And he could have it. He’d been told to take what he wanted tonight.
