Susan Mac Nicol’s Sight And Sinners

Susan mac Nicol is nice enough to come back to my blog. She joins me today to talk about her latest release Sight and Sinners. Plus a little bonus scene that she wrote just for me! After you read the amazing bonus scene that takes plus roughly six months after the book, read all about Sight and Sinners and an excerpt that will leave you wanting more. At the very bottom enter for a chance to win a copy of Double Alchemy and Double Alchemy: Climax.

Draven Samuels scowled as his fiancé put the finishing touches to his tux. Taylor Abelard tut tutted as he arranged the cream gardenia in Draven’s lapel.

“Babe, stop fidgeting. Honestly, anyone would think you were five years old.” Taylor grinned and finished what he was doing, then stood back to observe his handiwork.

“A five year old wouldn’t be going to some poxy fashion show with a bunch of pretentious gits,” Draven growled. “You know I don’t like this sort of thing.”

“But you’ll do it for me, won’t you?” Taylor batted his long eyelashes and Draven’s ire melted away at the sight. They’d been together eighteen months now and he still came undone at the sight of Taylor’s beautiful chocolate eyes wielding their charm. Taylor sniggered. “And I’ll make sure and not tell Leslie you just called him a pretentious git, shall I? If you value your balls that is.”

Draven’s spine prickled with unease. In the past, he’d had a bit of a love hate relationship with Taylor’s two best friends, Eddie and Leslie and although he was good friends with them now, he didn’t want to rock the friendship boat.

“No,” he muttered mulishly. “Don’t say anything to the little diva. He might stab me with his shoes.” His mind wandered down a different path. “How the hell does he manage to wear those bloody heels anyway? I tried wearing them once and I couldn’t walk the next day.”

Taylor’s mouth dropped open. “You’ve cross dressed before? Now why didn’t I know that little fact?”

Draven shook his head in irritation. Short lived irritation because the look on Taylor’s face at thinking of his man in heels was obviously something he rather fancied the idea of. Draven knew Taylor’s ‘turned on’ look and this was definitely it.

“No, you idiot. I was under cover and the only position I could possibly have where the guy I was following wouldn’t get suspicious was a woman.”

Taylor’s jaw dropped lower. “Fuck me blind,” he breathed. “Is it me or is the idea of you in a dress and heels a complete aphrodisiac?” He moved closer to Draven and trailed a warm finger across his jaw. “Please tell me we might get to role play one night. I could really go for you in a corset and heels.” His voice was husky and the tone went straight to Draven’s dick. He had to admit the idea of him dressing up was beginning to rev his boat too.

He leaned in and pressed his mouth against Taylor’s in a rough kiss as Taylor moaned into his mouth and pressed closer to him. Finally they released each other and stared into each other’s eyes.

“Just for you, I’ll consider that suggestion,” Draven murmured as he wound Taylor’s curly dark locks in his fingers. “As long as you return the favour and I get to see you in silky underwear and high heels. White lace would look so good against your skin.”

Taylor’s nostrils flared, his pupils widening and Draven thought his man had to be the sexiest creature on earth. Not for the first time he blessed all the fates that had bought them to this point. Engaged to be married and already planning the wedding to be held in six months time, he couldn’t envisage a world without Taylor in it.

“You are such a bastard,” Taylor breathed as his lips ghosted across Draven’s stubbed cheek. “I wish we didn’t have to go out now. I’ll be sitting at this damn function with a hard on, just thinking about you all dressed up like that.”

Draven smiled softly as he picked up Taylor’s cape coat, something Leslie had bought for him as a birthday present, and draped it across his shoulders. “Gives you something to look forward to, Tay. Now come one, we’d better get going before I change my mind and drag you through to the bedroom. Leslie will never forgive us if we’re late to his fashion show.” He picked up his coat and raised an enquiring eyebrow at his fiancé. “Ready to go, gorgeous? Let’s hit the road. Maybe tomorrow we can go shopping for underwear.”

He smirked at Taylor’s strangled groan and walked towards the front door. Opening it, he turned to watch his very trendily dressed fiancé precede him out the door. Draven closed the door and chuckled as he followed Taylor down the steps to the car. He had a feeling that this might turn out to be a very interesting weekend indeed.

Blurb:
THE MEN OF LONDON
From Charing Cross to Waterloo, there’s no escaping love.

SEEING THROUGH…

28-year-old Draven Samuels has a tragic past, but as an investigator with a high-profile London company he now gets what he wants. Tough, sarcastic, and sceptical, he has no patience for lies and even less for people who waste his time. Even if they’re as beautiful as the wild and dark-haired Taylor Abelard. Especially when they’re talking over the body of a murder victim.

THE DARKNESS

Psychic Taylor Abelard is used to people calling him a freak. He can see past events and feel the ghostly vibrations of people close to him who’ve passed on. It’s why he doesn’t get too close to the living. But this time, against his better judgment, despite Draven’s mocking rejoinders, Taylor will get closer than ever before. The mystery surrounding a dead friend will lead the two men down a dark and seedy trail of blackmail and lies. Add in the heartbreak of a family tragedy, and events lead them straight into each other’s arms. By the end of this night, all their demons will have risen—and been banished with the dawn.

Excerpt:
The man Taylor was blowing definitely didn’t know how the hell to keep quiet. Taylor’s lips were wrapped around his dick, while above him a man stood, panting and moaning, turning the air blue with his curses. Taylor stopped what he was doing, causing the blowjob recipient to groan in dismay, and glared at the sweaty face above him.

“For Christ’s sake, Georgie, can you stop it with the fucking porn noises?” He glanced around him nervously. “This is where I work, damn it, and if anyone hears you they’ll come outside to see what all the fuss is about.”

Georgie’s wide eyes cast a quick glance around the deserted alleyway behind ‘Music Mayhem’ where Taylor was employed, then looked down at Taylor kneeling between his legs.

“Sorry, mate, it’s just that you’re so damn good at this and it’s been a while.”

About Susan:
Susan Mac Nicol is a self confessed bookaholic, an avid watcher of videos of sexy pole dancing men, self confessed geek and nerd and in love with her Smartphone. This little treasure is called ‘the boyfriend’ by her long suffering husband, who says if it vibrated, there’d be no need for him. Susan hasn’t had the heart to tell him there’s an app for that…

She is never happier than when sitting in the confines of her living room/study/on a cold station platform scribbling down words and making two men fall in love. She is a romantic at heart and believes that everything happens (for the most part) for a reason. She likes to think of herself as a ‘half full’ kinda gal, although sometimes that philosophy is sorely tested.

Lover of walks in the forest, theatre productions, dabbling her toes in the cold North Sea and the vibrant city of London where you can experience all four seasons in a day , she is a hater of pantomime (so please don’t tar and feather her), duplicitous people, bigotry and self righteous idiots.

In an ideal world, Susan Mac Nicol would be Queen of England and banish all the bad people to the Never Never Lands of Wherever -Who Cares. As that’s never going to happen, she contents herself with writing her HEA stories and pretending, that just for a little while, good things happen to good people.
