C.C. Dad’s Imposter In Zebra-Striped Briefs

First I have to say the title of this book is so fun. And the cover seems to match that. C.C. Dado’s Imposter in Zebra-Striped Briefs sounds like a fun time and is out today so I am going to get my copy to read it. I got to interview C.C. Dado and boy was that fun! Read all about the book, and an excerpt that is a little silly and a little fun. At the very bottom enter for a chance to win a copy of the book.

Amanda C. Stone: Good morning C.C.! I am so excited to have you here today.
C.C. Dado: Hi Amanda, it’s great to virtually meet you.
ACS: It is great to virtually meet you too! Do you have a library card and know where it is?
CCD: Of course I have a library card, I’m sure it’s sitting right next to the overdue books I can’t find.
ACS: Isn’t that always the case? The overdue books are in a “safe” place that you just can’t remember where it is. There is magically 25 hours in a day. What would you do with the extra hour?
CCD: I would meditate. That probably sounds like a waste of a good hour but my other 24 are complete chaos.
ACS: Nope. An hour of meditation, or at least relaxing, would be fabulous! If you could have any crazy talent (rolling your tongue, saying the alphabet backwards, fun things) what would you want your talent to be? Or if you already have a crazy talent, what is it?
CCD: I memorized the alphabet backwards when I was fifteen because the older kids who gave us beer convinced us that was the sobriety test if the cops caught us.
ACS: Oh my gosh how awesome! I wonder if that truly is the sobriety test in some places. Then again, I’m not sure I could do that sober so hopefully not. Name 3 things on your Bucket List.
CCD: Live long enough to see my kids become happy adults.
Eat a Rueben Sandwich
Take a Griswold style road trip across country
ACS: I kind of want to ask about the Rueben sandwich story. But seriously? A Griswold road trip would be pretty epic. I’ll be the chick in the back that everyone assumes is related to someone else. You’re going to a naughty costume party, what do you go as?
CCD: An inflatable penis.
ACS: PERFECT! I love that idea for a costume. Thank you so much for joining me today. I loved having you here.

Blurb:
When recent college graduate Nathan Harris makes a life-changing move out from under his mother’s thumb and into his own place, he is determined to take some risks. He is tired of not being good enough, tired of allowing his fears to control him.

What he thought would be an exciting adventure ends up being one jaw-dropping mishap of embarrassment after another, leaving him with a life he doesn’t even recognize anymore.

His once boring, lonely existence has been replaced by a brownstone filled with colorful friends, a rough around the edges, tattooed bad boy best friend, and a stripper for a boyfriend who’s not even sure he’s gay.

Excerpt:
Ding…. He heard his phone go off again as he was grabbing an orange from the fridge. Nathan set the orange on the counter and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

Maybe I’m jumping the gun here. What are you into?

Nathan wasn’t quite sure how to answer that. He leaned back against the kitchen counter and stared at the keypad for a second before responding. Guys?

Ding…. I’m literally shaking my head at you right now….

Ding…. Josh instantly followed up his last text. I meant what turns you on about a guy. Eyes? A nice ass? I need to know what I’m working with here.

Nathan felt like the entire world could see his words as he typed his response. I think men’s feet are sexy.

Ding…  Josh responded, apparently not fazed at all by Nathan’s answer. All right then, let’s start at the toes and work our way up.

About C.C.:
I write painfully awkward, usually embarrassing, romance because long confident gazes followed by sexy dancing never happens to me.

I am a native of the Pacific Northwest, and will probably never leave since I’m a hypochondriac sundae, with claustrophobic sprinkles, and a cherry of anxiety on top. I read and write to relax my mind and I love getting lost in someone else’s story, even if it is only for a little while.
