Beany Sparks’ Ryan’s Wizard

Oh my gosh y’all! I had a chance to interview Beany Sparks today and boy was it fun! I decided not to ask questions about her latest book Ryan’s Wizard and go with totally fun questions. Let me tell you I’m glad I did because we had some great laughs. After the interview read all about the wonderful book that is the second in the series. At the very bottom enter for a chance to win a copy of the book.

Amanda C. Stone: Good morning Beany! I’m so excited to have you here today.
Beany Sparks: Hi Amanda *waves* I’m excited to be here, it’s going to be fun! 🙂
ACS: I’m going to ask some fun questions today.
BS: Ok I’m ready, hit me with them.
ACS: You are traveling with The Doctor (or any other time traveling person). Would you visit the past or the future?
BS: Oooo, I pick the future! It’d be fun to see what happens, you can read about the past (maybe not accurately, but you can read about it) but you don’t know what would happen in the future, that’s all a guessing game. Plus you could get some tips about which companies are going to do well then when you come back to your time you could set yourself up for life! I could retire and spend my days reading, writing, drawing…Okay, who’s got a time machine???
ACS: I like that idea for the use of a time machine. I’m coming along on your trip! If you were a candy bar what would you taste like?
BS: Hm… I’d either be completely nutty or taste so good you just know it’s completely bad for you *winks*
ACS: I’m a fan of the completely nutty ones myself. But then again that kind of describes me anyway. Name 3 things on your Bucket List.
BS: Only three? Hm… Okay, let’s see how I go. Number one would be travel. I’d love to explore America, Canada, Antarctica, Europe and New Zealand. I’ve lived in New Zealand but I never really got to explore it. Same with Europe. Number two would be…
*10 minutes later*
ACS: Beany?
BS: Um…
*goes to Google some ideas*
ACS: Beany?!
BS: Wow there’s a lot of different things on bucket lists. Okay, number two would be bathe an Elephant. I love elephants! I reckon it would be awesome to just pat one, bathing it would be even more fun. And number three (which would end up being my favorite) drive my five favorite cars – Mustang, Challenger, Charger, Camaro and a ’98 Dodge Viper. And I mean really drive them, like on a race track not just around the block.
ACS: I’m stealing number three but modifying it to be OWN all 5 of those cars (and about 10 more). Car-gasm. Sorry. Where were we? Oh yes. If there were a movie about your life, who would you want to play you? It can be anyone alive or dead.
BS: Depends on who my co-star would end up being, because I might want to play myself *winks* But if I had to pick someone I would say…hm…Lynn Collins? (I was watching John Carter on TV a few nights ago)
ACS: Oooh. I am a fan of hers. Nice choice! There is magically 25 hours in a day. What would you do with the extra hour?
BS: As long as that extra hour isn’t on a work day then I’d sleep or read. Ooo no, I have a better idea! The extra hour can be on a Saturday, then I can sleep in in the morning and go get a nice hour long massage later in the day. That way I can relax and not have to think about anything and no one will be bugging me or asking me questions. Sure, PITA might start plotting, but he’ll be quiet until after the massage is over. I could live with that.
ACS: An extra hour for a massage? That’s the best idea I’ve heard so far! Thank you so much for letting me interview you! It was so much fun.
BS: Thank you for letting me crash your blog, it’s been fun! 🙂

Blurb:
An alpha ends up with more than he bargained for when he finds his mate…his wizard mate.

After years of no contact, Oliver “Olly” Grey was finally able to reunite with his cousin Aiden. He’s surprised to find that Aiden now has a mate—a male, shifter mate—named Lex. And it’s Lex’s pack mates that Olly is there to help save. What he hadn’t expected was Lex’s brother Ryan.

Ryan Shepherd was happy to have found his brother Lex, and even happier to know that his brother was happily mated. But there is something about Aiden’s cousin Olly that Ryan doesn’t trust, especially when he also smells like the man currently holding his pack members captive. Yet that doesn’t stop Ryan from wanting to hold and comfort the man, and eventually he realizes why—Olly is his mate.

Now the four of them need to plan a rescue mission, but what happens when they run into the two men that had held Lex captive and those same men come to the cabin in the middle of the night?

Excerpt:
Aiden burst out laughing and moved one hand to ruffle Olly’s hair.

“Hey!” Olly exclaimed as he pulled back in order to glare at Aiden, who just smiled bigger and pulled him back into his arms.

“I couldn’t resist,” Aiden said, the laughter evident in his voice.

“Yeah, whatever. Anyway, back to what I was saying, but hopefully without interruptions this time.” Olly looked pointedly at Ryan when he said that. Ryan seemed to be studying him intently, but didn’t utter a word.

Olly looked away and started talking again. “I know where the pack is, or at least, I know where a bunch of canine shifters are being held.”

“How do you know that they’re part of our pack?” Lex asked, sounding like he was trying to restrain his eagerness.

Olly turned to him. “Because I heard a few of the guards talk about how they captured a bunch of them together.”

“And why didn’t you get caught?” Ryan asked, anger in his voice.

“Because,” Olly paused, then sighed. “The house they’re being held in belongs to Walter.”

Aiden gasped and when Olly looked at him, he saw the horror that was on his face.

“How long has Walter had shifters imprisoned on his property?” Aiden asked, outrage in his voice.

“I don’t know for sure, but it would be a number of years.” Olly couldn’t face any of them as he said that.

“Who is this Walter?” Ryan growled.

Olly looked up at him, then looked away as he replied, “My father.”

About Beany:
Beany lives in Western Australia. She first started reading romance novels in 2008, but it wasn’t until January 2010 when her Kindle got delivered that the world of erotic romance opened its doors to her, and she hasn’t looked back.

With suggestions and support from friends, her muse—“affectionately” known as PITA—was finally able to break free, and in January 2014 her first story was written. Since she can’t put PITA back in his box, Beany has decided to give in and team up with him. Together they’ve made plans to write both MF and MM stories.
