Thianna D’s As Natural As Breathing

Gotta say I’m excited to have Thianna D joining me today. Her book As Natural As Breathing is one you’ll want to check out. Today Christian and Logan stopped by for an interview and you will be glad you got to read it. They were fun to talk to! After the interview, read all about the book and an excerpt that will leave you wanting more. At the very bottom enter for a chance to win a copy of the book and a gift card.

Amanda C. Stone: Thank you Christian and Logan for joining me today. Christian, what was it like meeting Logan for the first time?
Christian: *smiles at the memory* I was in a real bad place at the time. Had just returned from… well, a very bad experience. My folks insisted I go to this Christmas party and I sat off to the side, trying my best to be invisible. Next thing I knew, Santa—the most jovial and hilarious Santa ever—walked by and before I could think about it, I called out to him.

I’m embarrassed to say I walked away from him because at the time all I could see was how unworthy I was of anything good. But Logan, well, if you know anything about my wonderful man, you’ll realize that he has the biggest heart. *glances over at Logan and winks* He came after me to cheer me up. Instead, he ended up shaking the very foundation of my life.
ACS: I know it’s worked out for you that he came after you. Logan, what made you want to cheer up Christian?
Logan: *places arm over his boyfriend’s shoulder* A few things, I guess. *flashes a wide grin* First off, he’s fuck hot. Have you seen my man? Look at him! Blond hair, brown eyes, and not only that…but he’s a cowboy! Okay, maybe not a real cowboy, but he’s got the hat and the accent. Works well for me.
Christian: Yes, if I ever want to turn my Logan into goo, all I have to do is turn on the southern charm. *grins*
Logan: Anyway, the most heart-wrenching expression crossed his face and everything else I had been planning to do left my head and all I wanted to do was help him. I felt like an idiot at first, but once I got him to laugh—and you really need to hear his laughter. It’s amazing—it was the easiest thing to just sit there and talk to him. I love people and can get along with most everyone, but there was something special about Christian right from the start.
ACS: Now you two laugh all the time together. Was it hard for you two being away from each other so much while Logan was at college?
Christian: I’ll answer first. It was difficult with Logan being so far away. I was still going through therapy and dealing with my PTSD, not to mention the fact that he turned my world right-side up in a matter of days and suddenly he was gone. Thank the heavens for cell phones, right? *reaches up and wraps his hand around a charm hanging from a necklace* But I always had a piece of Logan with me and for that I would always be grateful.
ACS: That charm must be good luck. What about you Logan?
Logan: *chuckling* I was busy at school. With a double major, it took up a lot of my time. Suddenly, over the holidays, I had a man I’d fallen for and being away from him was physically painful at times. I’m not sure if I can explain it. It’s like being given a wonderful gift and then having it put up on a shelf and told you can only play with it when you get all your chores done. The breaks were definitely worth the wait, though.
*they look at each other and grin*
ACS: Now something different happened while you were together. Christian, tell us the hardest part of letting Logan know you wanted to be spanked.
Christian: *groaning in embarrassment* I’ve since learned a lot of people go through this, but quite honestly, I thought I was a bit crazy for getting all hot and bothered about the idea of being spanked. As others do, I had locked it up inside, far away where nobody else knew about it. And suddenly here Logan was, talking about it and turning me on at the same time. I didn’t expect to say it, let alone shout it. It was like in that moment, I lost all my inhibitions and just said it. Well, I think if anyone would have been in the shop, they would have heard me.
Logan: *laughs* Yeah, you were loud. And made me a very happy man when you said you wanted to be spanked.
ACS: That’s wonderful the two of you share that same need. What’s in store for you two now? Plans for the future?
Logan: I’m back to school. Have one more quarter before summer starts and this summer will be amazing. Not only will I get to spend lots of time with Christian, but in July, I’m going to see my dad’s family. I’ve met my uncle Matthias, but I’ve never met my grandparents nor any of the multitudes of cousins I supposedly have. It’s going to be awesome. Thirty-one days in the big apple? I plan to take a bite.
ACS: Not too big of a bite I hope! What about you Christian?
Christian: I’m job hunting – and isn’t that exciting – and hopefully by fall I can have enough money on hand to get an apartment and get back out on my own. Don’t get me wrong. I love my folks, but I haven’t lived at home for a while and it can get a bit stifling. This summer, I plan to spend as much time with Logan as I can. I’ve finally found someone who I feel I can be myself with and I don’t plan on letting him go any time soon.
ACS: I wish you both the best of luck for happiness in the future. Thank you both for joining me today, I loved having you.

Blurb:
For Christian Darringer, life isn’t worth living. Just back from the Middle East; scarred and with permanent damage to one leg, he does not think anyone will want him for anything. Meeting a gorgeous man he finds himself thinking about constantly is not in his plans. Pulled toward the startling younger man with striking blue eyes, he begins to question a lot of things – especially his sexuality. Not one to hide from a challenge, he plunges ahead only to find himself more than just attracted to Logan who is full of life and joy, he finds himself head over heels in love.

Logan Mannette has almost everything he ever wanted: loving parents, happiness, friends and security. The only thing missing is finding the love of his life, a love that is just like his parents’. When he meets Christian at a party, everything changes. Instantly attracted, he does his best to help this sad man and quickly finds himself feeling more than he has ever felt before. Raised in a domestic discipline household, he holds that ideal as what he wants but his interest in spanking became a fetish and when Christian admits that he wants to be spanked, Logan believes he might have found the perfect man.

Just as everything begins for them, Christian’s past intercedes and one of his brothers makes waves about him dating a man. If it weren’t for Logan’s support, he might fold; but with the love of one amazing man, Christian finds that living his life rather than just existing is as natural as breathing.

Excerpt:
Dinner was easy, the easiest first date Christian had ever been on. Logan laughed, talked, teased, but it felt like he was with a friend rather than with a date…but then again, that was what he asked for. After two large platters of sushi disappeared between the two of them, they paid and left. “Okay, we can drive or we can walk. The theater is only ten blocks.” Then Logan’s eyes dropped to his leg. “Damn, I forgot about your leg. Maybe we should drive.”

Shaking his head, Christian placed a hand on his arm. “Naw. I walk by the river all the time. I think I’d like to walk.”

Logan watched him, as if trying to make up his mind if Christian meant it or not. When he figured he did, he beamed. “Great. There is this cool piece of art you have got to see.”

About Thianna:
Thianna loves to write strong stories with even stronger heroes. While all of her books have an erotic overtone, it is the story that is the most important to her. “The story should be able to stand on its own. The erotic elements are an add-on.”

She enjoys writing about couples with kink, paranormal couples, and straight out strangeness. But more on that later… mm.thiannad.com.
